What is your program?
Major in chemistry + Major in Biology, 4th year

What was your international learning experience?
I went to Soochow University in Suzhou, China through a partnership between the two university's chemistry departments. I studied in the college of Nano Science and Technology at Soochow University, focusing on computational chemistry. I researched into graphemes nanotubes and what catalysts stabilized them the most.

How did that experience impact you?
The overall experience was amazing! It actually changed my career path. Just being around the collectivist different culture opened up my mind to a holistic approach on health care. Being able to be around a different culture and environment may be challenging at first but opens up your perspective and is a rewarding life experience.

Why should students embrace international learning experiences?
Students should take advantage of every opportunity while still in school. Not only is it a once-in-a-life time experience, but you also get to travel and learn at the same time! International learning experiences can become an accomplishment worthy of discussion and help students become well connected in different areas of the world.

What is a fun fact about you?
I am a major car enthusiast and now a frequent and passionate traveler.
